Kimberly has worked in the Ultrasound field for over 30 years and volunteered for Crisis Pregnancy Centers in Atlanta and Auburn. A Master’s Degree in Human Services from Liberty University has prepared Kimberly for meeting women in crisis with compassion and Biblical knowledge. Kimberly Fenske

Kimberly has been in nursing for 36 years. In 2014 she became the nurse manager for Care Net Chilton Co where she served for 5 years. She joined Life On Wheels in February of 2023. She has a passion for Jesus and personally knows the effects of abortion. Serving women with the truth, loving on them like Jesus and helping them to see their baby on ultrasound help them make informed choices about their pregnancy. I was not able to be the voice for my babies but I get to be the voice for the babies now. Kimberly has 3 sons and a daughter. She is Gigi to 10 grandchildren. She attends church at Amazing Grace in Alabaster.

Nurse Sonographer

Alison Funk, BSN, RN

Alison, a Huntsville, Alabama native, attended Auburn University, earning her BSN and Alabama Nursing License. While at Auburn, her pro-life convictions began to form through a friend’s unplanned pregnancy and an impactful Ethics course.

After graduating, Alison married her husband Robert and worked as a Charge Nurse at East Alabama Medical Center before moving to Birmingham. There, she worked as a staff nurse at Children’s Hospital before pausing her career to homeschool her four children and support her husband in starting three successful Physical Therapy clinics.

When her children entered college, Alison returned to nursing as a Pediatric Private Duty nurse for children with tracheostomies on home ventilators and conducted in-home insurance assessments. Encouraged by her scripture study on the sanctity of life before birth and through friends involved in adoption ministry, she grew interested in pro-life work. After prayer, she joined a local Pregnancy Resource Center, first as Clinic Coordinator and later as Nurse Manager, where she performed limited ultrasounds and ministered to clients.

After leaving the Pregnancy Resource Center for a few years to care for her aging parents, Alison returned part-time to Life On Wheels, where she continues, beyond grateful, to share in its mission, “to serve women, share Jesus, and save babies.”

Outside of her nursing work, Alison enjoys spending time with her husband, family (especially playing with her 8 grandkids), and friends, attending church and Bible studies, floral arranging, gardening, hiking, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and studying nutrition and functional medicine.

Sharee Hileman

Mobile Operations Coordinator

Sharee serves as the Mobile Operations Coordinator. She retired from the Air Force,
after 20 years, in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Ashford
University. She worked as a Computer Network Administrator and Computer Security Manager
while she was serving in the Air Force. She started volunteering on the bus after retirement as
a Client Advocate and Data Entry Volunteer. She wanted to give the ladies that came on the
bus all the information they needed to make a decision they could live with, and also introduce
them to a Savior who would forgive them no matter what decision they made. Later she was
hired to help out with the Schedule as Assistant to the Mobile Operations Manager. She
then was promoted to her current position.

Jama’l Jacques

Jama'l is the Medical Services Manager for Life on Wheels. She provides ultrasounds for the women and babies who she has a passion for serving. After completing her Associate Degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in 2016, she began working in the local hospitals. She quickly realized her favorite part of ultrasound was seeing the face of mothers when they see their baby, which led her to work for an OB/GYN Clinic and then Maternal Fetal Medicine. Jama’l firmly believes that knowledge is power and is excited that Life on Wheels gives her the opportunity to share her knowledge with the women in our community.

Executive Assistant

Lori provides administrative support to the Executive Director for Life on Wheels.  She received a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and worked 17 years in the banking industry.  “I have always wanted to help people, help them find jobs, help them know their purpose or even help them find a date, but when my own unborn child was in jeopardy at 20 weeks, I realized these babies need my help too.   Life on Wheels not only reveals the value of life in the womb, but we remind the mother of her value, that she is not alone and God has a plan and a purpose for her and her baby.  I am just thrilled to even have a small part to play in making this happen.”  Lori and her husband Dale have 2 children and attend First Assembly of God in Montgomery.

With over 15 years of experience as a social worker in hospital and nursing home settings, I bring a deep commitment to compassionate care. Medical Lead RN - Birmingham

Janna Perry

Janna serves as lead medical in Birmingham.  She graduated  from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.   She has always had heart for service and ministry.  In 2008 she and her husband became licensed foster parents thru Shelby Co DHR and served more than 40 children.  After 25 years in pediatrics, she felt the Lord leading her in a different direction.  Her prolife journey began in 2019 at a local pregnancy center, then in 2022 the Lord called her (she says kicking and screaming) to Life On Wheels.  “We can try to do things our way, but the Lord will always win.  I never thought I would enjoy working on a bus, but I have loved being out in the community and being able to go to wherever the need is.  It is an honor to go to work everyday and use the gifts God has given me to minister to women in crisis.  Most of the time, women just need hope.  They need hope in Christ and also hope for a successful pregnancy and future.”  Janna is married and has 3 adult children.  In her spare time, she and her husband Blair enjoy spending time camping and going to the lake.  They are  members of Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church.
