Nicole Cabrera Holland
Marketing Director

Nikki is the founder and owner of Maverick Media, a bilingual marketing agency serving small businesses and nonprofits across the Birmingham metro. Through social media, brand strategy, and print and digital marketing — delivered in both English and Spanish — she helps organizations tell their stories and reach the people they're called to serve.
That mission is exactly why Nikki is honored to support Life on Wheels. She believes there is life and purpose in every woman and every baby who steps onto that bus, and she sees this work as an extension of her faith — a chance to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a very tangible way. Helping provide resources, hope, and love to these women is a privilege she doesn't take lightly, and one that words can never fully capture.

Janna Perry
Medical Services Manager - Birmingham
Janna serves as the Medical Services Manager in Birmingham. She graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She has always had heart for service and ministry. In 2008 she and her husband became licensed foster parents thru Shelby Co DHR and served more than 40 children. After 25 years in pediatrics, she felt the Lord leading her in a different direction. Her prolife journey began in 2019 at a local pregnancy center, then in 2022 the Lord called her (she says kicking and screaming) to Life On Wheels. “We can try to do things our way, but the Lord will always win. I never thought I would enjoy working on a bus, but I have loved being out in the community and being able to go to wherever the need is. It is an honor to go to work every day and use the gifts God has given me to minister to women in crisis. Most of the time, women just need hope. They need hope in Christ and also hope for a successful pregnancy and future.” Janna is married and has 3 adult children. In her spare time, she and her husband Blair enjoy spending time camping and going to the lake. They are members of Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church.

Nurse Sonographer - Birmingham
Alison Funk, BSN, RN
Alison, a Huntsville, Alabama native, attended Auburn University, earning her BSN and Alabama Nursing License. While at Auburn, her pro-life convictions began to form through a friend’s unplanned pregnancy and an impactful Ethics course.
After graduating, Alison married her husband Robert and worked as a Charge Nurse at East Alabama Medical Center before moving to Birmingham. There, she worked as a staff nurse at Children’s Hospital before pausing her career to homeschool her four children and support her husband in starting three successful Physical Therapy clinics.
When her children entered college, Alison returned to nursing as a Pediatric Private Duty nurse for children with tracheostomies on home ventilators and conducted in-home insurance assessments. Encouraged by her scripture study on the sanctity of life before birth and through friends involved in adoption ministry, she grew interested in pro-life work. After prayer, she joined a local Pregnancy Resource Center, first as Clinic Coordinator and later as Nurse Manager, where she performed limited ultrasounds and ministered to clients.
After leaving the Pregnancy Resource Center for a few years to care for her aging parents, Alison returned part-time to Life On Wheels, where she continues, beyond grateful, to share in its mission, “to serve women, share Jesus, and save babies.”
Outside of her nursing work, Alison enjoys spending time with her husband, family (especially playing with her 8 grandkids), and friends, attending church and Bible studies, floral arranging, gardening, hiking, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and studying nutrition and functional medicine.
